Jinks opened the 2026 season in dominant fashion Tuesday afternoon, shutting out North Bay Haven 39-0 in the first live action of the season. After the team’s jamboree was cancelled, the matchup served as Jinks’ first opportunity to compete in a live-game environment. Despite the lack of preseason game reps, the offense came out firing and moved the ball with explosive efficiency. The offense finished with 367 total yards, including 179 passing yards and 188 rushing yards, while consistently finding the end zone. Javion Thomas led the way with 4 touchdowns, contributing one passing, two rushing, and one receiving. Khamari Boles added a rushing touchdown and an interception return for a touchdown, giving him two scores on the afternoon. The defense was equally dominant, holding North Bay Haven to less than 50 total yards and recording the shutout. A 39-0 victory is an impressive way to open the season, especially with this being the team’s first live action. There is still plenty to clean up, but the foundation is clearly in place. With Week 2 serving as a bye, Jinks will have an opportunity to get healthy, correct mistakes, and prepare for its biggest challenge of the season. In Week 3, Jinks will face the Rutherford Rams, one of the top three teams in the county, in a matchup with significant championship implications.
