PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Jinks continued its strong second-half push Thursday night, shutting out Bay Haven 26-0 while putting together another dominant defensive performance and giving younger Hornets valuable game experience in the fourth quarter. The matchup carried some extra significance for the Jinks coaching staff, several of whom previously coached at Bay Haven. Once the game kicked off, however, the Hornets quickly made it clear they were focused on taking care of business. Quarterback Javion Thomas once again led the way offensively, accounting for 314 total yards and four touchdowns. Thomas completed 3 of 7 passes for 49 yards while rushing for 265 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries. The performance continued an explosive season for the seventh-grade quarterback, who has now accounted for 783 total yards and 11 touchdowns on the season, including 298 passing yards, 410 rushing yards and 75 receiving yards. The Jinks offense received contributions throughout the night. R.J. West carried six times for 44 yards, while Aydann Copeland hauled in a 34-yard reception. Jameson Hall added a 10-yard reception, while Marley Olds contributed five receiving yards. Liam Mulvey also saw action at quarterback as Jinks continued to spread opportunities throughout the offense. Defensively, the Hornets delivered another complete performance, holding Bay Haven scoreless from start to finish. LJ Reddice led the way with seven tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack and an interception. Cameron Potter added six tackles, while Tank Jenkins and Jackson King each finished with five tackles. Kacyn Benson and Javari Walker also contributed five tackles apiece as the Hornets consistently kept Bay Haven from sustaining offensive drives. Jinks maintained control throughout the night and, with the game firmly in hand, used the fourth quarter to rotate in younger players and give them valuable game experience. The 26-0 victory gives the Hornets back-to-back wins following their 12-0 loss to Rutherford and keeps their championship hopes alive. Jinks now turns its attention to Breakfast Point, the next step in a four-game stretch the Hornets must navigate to reach six consecutive victories and earn a spot in the championship game. With two wins already secured in that stretch, the Hornets will look to keep the momentum going against Breakfast Point as they continue their push toward the championship game.
